RECITAL VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP

Volunteers are a valuable part of ensuring that our dance recitals run smoothly, and your help is greatly appreciated! We would not be able to run our recital shows without the help of our volunteers!

As a thank you from us, recital volunteers will receive a credit on their account for the amount of two recital tickets.

To ensure you don’t miss seeing your dancer perform, we ask that you sign up to volunteer for the show that your dancer is NOT performing in—unless you are volunteering in your dancer’s dressing room.

If you are volunteering to help with your dancer’s group in the dressing room for their show, you can either watch their dance side stage when they go onstage, or you can stand in the back of the theater, but you must immediately return to the dressing room as soon as their dance is done.

Volunteers will be emailed a detailed description of their job duties. Below is a brief description of some of the jobs that need to be filled:

Ushers:  Assist audience members with seating, hand out programs, and monitor doors to ensure compliance with recital rules. At least one usher must remain at the doors at all times.

Check-in Table:  Greet dancers upon arrival, provide dressing room assignments, and distribute wristbands to parents/guardians. Ensure only authorized individuals (dancers, teachers, event staff, and wristbanded parents) are the only ones to pass this area. Volunteers at this station must stay at the table for the duration of the show.

Hall Monitor:  Supervise the backstage hallway to maintain a quiet, organized space. Ensure only authorized individuals (dancers, teachers, event staff, and wristbanded parents) enter this area.  Volunteers at this station must stay at the table for the duration of the show.

Dressing Room Helper:  Assist dancers with costume changes/accessories if needed, hand out medals and certificates, check dancers in and out with their parent/guardian. (Only moms/female guardians can volunteer in the dressing rooms.)
